Today’s run:  Last day on the road.  Gym tomorrow!

Once upon a time the Howard’s lived in Estes Park, Colorado.  They were a busy family with the children in the local school and playing on the youth league soccer teams.  The Dad drove the canyon to work each day and the Mom played each day teaching aerobics classes and being a personal trainer.

Then one day they bought a cute white puppy and they named him Jasper.  Jasper was a cuddly puppy but he didn’t stay small for more than a day or two because he grew and grew and grew.  Jasper gained notoriety with the little boy of this family as being the only dog the son knew who could drool on the ceiling.  Jasper was a talented dog!

Jasper had birthday after birthday until finally he was no longer a cute and cuddly puppy but was a very large and very old dog of twelve.  It was time to say “good-bye” to Jasper.  So, one day the Mom and the Son took Jasper to the vet and gave him one last pet and then cried and drove home.

Jasper was an awesome dog.  He was a big dog that was famous in the family and the town of Estes Park for being a “great big dog!”.  He has been gone for five years now and we miss him a lot but we also do not have to wash the ceilings anymore!  Good bye again Jasper.  We miss you!
