other thoughts running

Ah, it’s just a flesh wound

[Yesterday’s run 4.8 miles in Columbus (started at Starbucks)]

We had a nice day yesterday. I ran in the morning with the new Columbus group from the Possum Town Trotters. We also encountered two other groups running and a few singles. It was very interesting. I don’t think I have ever seen that many runners out and about without it being some kind of organized race.

I got back to Starbucks around 8 then drove home. Then I worked 3.5 hours for the office to make up a deficit from the past week when our power was out and some meetings I had.

A bit after noon we went into town and ate at Zachary’s. After that we drove to Wal-Mart and I got the new Covid jab and the new Flu Shot. They were trying to talk me into doing the Shingles thing but I waved that off. That one is actually the one that I probably should get, more than these other ones.

Anyway, today we are staggering around the house like zombies. I had both my shots in one arm. My MutualTaxDependencyDeductionPartner had one in each arm. I think my strategy is better. But there is now one working arm between two people :-).

We haven’t really had much to eat today. We had toast at breakfast. The half-hamburger remains of my Zachary’s and some buttery cauliflower (which she made, very delicious, with no arms!) and I had one nutty bar and now working on a mini can of generic root beer. Wait, we also each had two servings of jello instant pudding, chocolate.

My scab from last week’s running biff has fallen off with a little help from a snaggy shirt or something. The runners this week were almost exactly the same people as last week, and I enjoyed running and talking with them.

I was hoping to get some more things done to the radio station computer but my thinker just isn’t up to it. I hope I have some gas in the tank tomorrow!
