Rainy

[Monday: 3.2 miles; Wednesday: 3.0 on treadmill; today: 4.2 miles]

We have been getting a lot of rain so far this year. My rain gauge is broken so I don’t know exactly how much. My father-in-law over in Starkville keeps good rain records which he let me peek at earlier this week. He has us near 1/2 of the the total we received last year. And we’ve only done less than a 1/3 of the calendar.

Some elected officials in the Tennessee statehouse decided to do a political action on the pattern of the streets with chanting and bullhorns and whatnot. They claimed they were making the people’s voice be heard. It somehow escaped their notice that the representatives in the statehouse are the elected voices of the people. Anyway, the higher-ups in that body tossed two of them out which seems like a reasonable response from where I’m sitting.
