Sloppy run

[Today’s run: 2+ miles]

Today’s run was up Boise Ave in Loveland, CO from Eisenhower to Horseshoe lake.  I don’t know how far that is, but it felt like a bit more then a mile each way.

They had a substantial snowfall here last week.  Today it was in the low 40s, but the sidewalks and streets are sloppy, particularly at intersections.  But it was nice to get out on the road for a bit.

We were driving on Thursday and Friday.  We made it to OK City in time to pick up my new vector network analyzer.  Then we drove all day on Saturday to get here.

Everything went smoothly except for a flat tire on the toyota pickup truck in eastern Colorado on I-70.  (We brought it out to daughter #1 to replace the ’85 ford which seems to be on it’s last legs.)  All of the tools were at hand and the spare is a full size tire which looked like it had never been used. I got it changed without any trouble except for getting a bit muddy.  The flat doesn’t look bad.  I’ll have to take it in to see if it can be repaired.

We are staying at the Travelodge in Loveland.  It is an older motel but has been painted and reworked a bit.  Our room is adequate in size and clean.  It doesn’t have all of the modern amenities, but the price was good.  They do have good wifi, and that is a major requirement for us.

Tonight we are supposed to go and see the new Star Wars movie.  Tomorrow I’m going in to the office for at least part of the day.
