I just finished a book, Popular Crime by Bill James.
I thought it was very interesting. The book is a review of crimes that were in the news, the big news stories of their day, and the books that describe those events.
Mr James has some interesting commentary about journalism, prison policy, crime statistics and other topics incidental to crime and crime fiction. He writes in a very engaging informal style.
It was a fun book to read.
