Tomorrow I fly from DSM to Detroit to ATL to GTR. I start that trek around noon and finish on the last flight of the day to Golden Triangle Regional airport. Then there will be about a 15 minute ride in the car and I’ll be home.
Today I put some of the heavy items of my work equipment in a fixed rate priority mail box and shipped it home. I’m thinking maybe I can get the rest stuffed into my suitcase and carry-on bag, but I haven’t tried it yet. At least my pull-through-the-airport bag will be a bit lighter.
If I don’t get it all in one bag I will switch the broken-wheels bag and the working-wheels bag so that I can pull it without distress. If I don’t need the broken wheels bag it will end up in the trash bin.
I don’t believe I have ever been to the Detroit airport before. That little treat came free!
