We have a man coming today to lay out a couple of concrete projects. He says he will have the forms up today and then do the pour on Tuesday.
The first project is to finish filling in our square of grass just outside the front door. The sidewalk goes straight out from the front porch then takes a right turn and goes to the driveway. The garage sticks out at that point, so there is this patch of grass between the sidewalk and the wall of the garage, roughly 12 ft square. He will fill that in with concrete.
It has always been hard to maintain, and I’m hoping we can extend our porch living space with maybe some patio furniture or something and make it useful.
The second project is to widen the driveway to the east by 12 feet, approximately another lane. Our accumulated boats, lawn mower, and junk that is sitting in the driveway will then have a place to live and give us full use of the existing two car driveway and garage entry.
