Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest day (I’ve got a cold)<\/p>\n
My dryer went on strike a week ago. \u00a0The heating element went out. \u00a0It tumbles just great. \u00a0It blows air just great. \u00a0It just does not get hot. \u00a0Rats.<\/p>\n
I have a Samsung front load washer and dryer. \u00a0I love them and would not have any other washer and dryer. \u00a0I like the fact that they conserves water and energy. \u00a0Taking into consideration the amount of laundry I do (average 3 loads a day), those things are important, plus the fact that they hold more laundry (larger capacity) so you don’t have to do as many loads. \u00a0They have been a good purchase.<\/p>\n
When we moved into our home in Mississippi, we had to buy all new appliances. \u00a0So, we went to Lowe’s and bought a new oven,\u00a0refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer and clothes dryer. \u00a0The sales person at Lowe’s was very happy! \u00a0We had to wait a few days for delivery and it has been smooth sailing, for the most part, ever since. \u00a0Until this past weekend.<\/p>\n
I did a load of laundry on Monday morning and put them into the dryer. \u00a0The dryer sang it’s song when it was done (yes, my washer and dryer sing!) and that’s when I discovered that the clothes were all wet. \u00a0And cold. \u00a0That was bad. \u00a0So, we called the repair person.<\/p>\n
I have been waiting for the repair person since Monday. \u00a0They promised me that the repair person (it ended up being a man), repairman would be here today. \u00a0So, I waited some more. \u00a0He finally showed up around 1:30 this afternoon. \u00a0He knew right away, just as I did, that the heating element was shot. \u00a0Guess what. \u00a0He doesn’t carry any parts!!!!! \u00a0I have to wait a week for the parts to arrive and then probably another week for him to be able to fit me back into his schedule!!!!<\/p>\n
But, I was nice.<\/p>\n
I think it stinks, but I was nice.<\/p>\n
