Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n

I have told you quite a few times about the chickens I am receiving for Christmas this year. \u00a0\u00a0Now, I know that I am getting chickens from my son but I also know that it will not be until some time in January\/February until I actually have them.<\/p>\n

He told me that he had picked up something “small, kind of a gag gift” for me so I would have something to “open” from him on Christmas. \u00a0He also said that I could give it to the dog to “rip up” after I had opened it. \u00a0Interesting.<\/p>\n

Today, we had the gift exchange between my husband, my son and myself. \u00a0I knew what was in the package for my husband. \u00a0And I knew what was in the package from our daughter. \u00a0What I did NOT know was what was in the package for me and why he was carrying it so carefully.<\/p>\n

Finally it was my turn to open the package from my son. \u00a0I picked it up and it\u00a0squeaked! \u00a0What!?! \u00a0It sure caught the dogs attention! \u00a0I tried to open it again, and SQUEAK!!! \u00a0The dog was right there! \u00a0“What was that! \u00a0Let me help you! \u00a0Open that package, NOW!”. \u00a0So, I did. \u00a0I opened it fast~showed no mercy on the wrapping paper.<\/p>\n

What do you think it was?<\/p>\n

Well, it was green (my favorite color, next to diamonds, that is). \u00a0It was about (notice I am using past tense here) 8″ long. \u00a0And it obviously squeaked. \u00a0The dog was very interested in it, too.<\/p>\n

Give up!?!<\/p>\n

It was a green, rubber chicken, squeaky toy! \u00a0How much fun! \u00a0For Paxton and for me~<\/p>\n
