Today’s Run: \u00a06.30 miles<\/p>\n

This evening was my husband’s office Christmas party. \u00a0There were about 250 people. \u00a0A nice sized group. \u00a0I have always enjoyed his office get togethers. \u00a0The people with whom he works are, as a rule, very nice folk.<\/p>\n

We met at the Embassy Suites Ballroom. \u00a0They had appetizers, buffet and desserts. \u00a0There was a free bar (two complimentary drinks, you paid after that) and a dance floor. \u00a0A very nice party!<\/p>\n

Because it was at the Embassy Suites, people were encouraged to “dress nice”. \u00a0There was no official “dress code” but it may have been handy to have one. \u00a0It always amazes me people’s definition of “nice dress”. \u00a0This evening it seemed to be plunging necklines and very tight dresses. \u00a0Unfortunate choices were made by very nice, matronly women. \u00a0But enough of the dress. \u00a0Most people looked great!<\/p>\n

We had one gentleman at our table, who when first introduced was sullen. \u00a0I really do not think that he wanted to be there. \u00a0BUT, after four drinks, he was quite gregarious and thought he was the life of the party. \u00a0Again, unfortunate. \u00a0At least there were no lampshades to be worn. \u00a0Again, the majority of the people there knew their limits and drank responsibly.<\/p>\n

Let’s cut to the chase and talk about the dessert! \u00a0Wow!!!!! (And if I say it backwards, it looks like woW!!!) \u00a0They had the most amazing chocolate cake. \u00a0It was just a huge slice of chocolate fudge!!!!! \u00a0And I got a piece! \u00a0Words fail me and unfortunately, so did my stomach. \u00a0It was so rich that I could only eat three bites. \u00a0What a waste. \u00a0boo. \u00a0But the three bites I had were terrific!<\/p>\n

With the interesting people and the great food, I consider the evening a success!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
