Today’s Run: \u00a04.77 miles<\/p>\n

“It was a dark and stormy night”…not really, but it is a dark and gloomy day. \u00a0The temperature is 64 but the sky is overcast and we are supposed to get severe weather later on this afternoon. \u00a0Not the most conducive weather for driving.<\/p>\n

My son drives a 1997 (I think it is a 1997) Dodge Intrepid. \u00a0This car is a full size sedan, rather sporty to look at. \u00a0A cute car. \u00a0It has had it’s fair share of repairs but it is an old car and that is to be expected.<\/p>\n

Recently, we noticed that the headlights did not have the same illumination, the same “umph” that it had when first purchased. \u00a0Upon inspection, we discovered that the plastic of the headlights had yellowed with age. \u00a0Kind of like a headlight cataract.<\/p>\n

My husband got online and discovered that you could purchase replacement headlights for this car! \u00a0Cool Beans! \u00a0Some sites had them for almost $100.00 a light. \u00a0Glub! \u00a0He was diligent in his shopping and found them for $16.00 per light. \u00a0Much better. \u00a0So, he went a head and ordered two new headlights for the car.<\/p>\n

The headlights arrived around lunch time today via UPS and he is over\u00a0installing\u00a0them right now. \u00a0So, hopefully, the next time my son has to do night time driving or driving on days like today, he will see clearly and easily. \u00a0A job well done!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
