Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and it truly was a day of giving thanks. \u00a0We had my parents and son over for dinner and we were able to talk to my daughter a couple of times on the phone. \u00a0We had a great time. \u00a0But today…today is 32 shopping days until Christmas!!! \u00a0Today is BLACK FRIDAY. \u00a0Did you take advantage of the shopping bargains? \u00a0I did not.<\/p>\n

Instead, I got a haircut and then put up the Christmas tree!\"\"<\/a> \u00a0The house always looks so pretty with the\u00a0sparkly decorations on the tree and the stockings (hung by the chimney with care) over the fire place.\"\"<\/a> \u00a0I love Christmas. It brings out the kid in me, I guess.<\/p>\n

Shopping this year is going to be fun. \u00a0We have to have the majority of our shopping done by next Wednesday. \u00a0We will be delivering some of our gifts by hand this year (instead of shipping them) and will be able to see some of our relatives. \u00a0Things like that make the season a bit more special.<\/p>\n

So, why did not I take advantage of the BLACK FRIDAY shopping extravaganza!?! \u00a0The people. \u00a0There was actually one person in Starkville who got a tooth knocked out while fighting through the crowds to get a video game (I think it was a video game)! \u00a0That is just silly. \u00a0People can be vultures. \u00a0Personally, I would rather pay a bit more than be trampled by other shoppers.<\/p>\n
