Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n
We drove along the Alabama-Mississippi border today. We drove about 90 miles or so on a beautiful Fall day. \u00a0The sun was shining, there was a light breeze and it was 85 degrees. \u00a0A perfect Fall day.<\/p>\n
We had stopped at a Wendy’s and grabbed a sandwich a piece, one order of fries (to split) and a drink for each of us. \u00a0Hwy 69 took us into Alabama where it changed names into Hwy 17. \u00a0We followed that into Pickensville and Aliceville. \u00a0We then picked up Hwy 30 going West back into Mississippi to the little town of Scooba (no jake brakes allowed!) and picked up 45 South until we reached the Town of Meridian.<\/p>\n
We drove around Meridian a while. \u00a0Noticed that it is a very hilly town! \u00a0Found a pizza pace and had some spinach manicotti and soda’s. \u00a0Now we are resting up for our race. \u00a013.1 miles with ONE porta-potty at the nine mile mark. \u00a0Sure hope I do not have to go until then-or at all for that matter. \u00a0That would be inconvenient.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
