Today’s Run: \u00a05.01 miles<\/p>\n
Our dog, Paxton, can be a little intimidating if you do not know him. \u00a0He is a 109 pound Boxer and believe me, his bark is worse than his bite. \u00a0He is the biggest chicken I have ever seen. \u00a0But he is a very good watch dog.<\/p>\n
This past week I made a few online purchases from Road Runner Sports. \u00a0We have talked about RRS before in this blog and you know that I really like this company. \u00a0Unfortunately, all my items did not ship together, so my poor FedEx man is making numerous stops at my residence in the next couple of weeks (some items were back ordered).<\/p>\n
Wednesday, the first two items arrived. \u00a0They were items of clothing and came in one of those thin plastic envelopes. \u00a0You knew that nothing in the package was breakable, well, because you knew! \u00a0Well, the FedEx man comes up to the house as far as the garage and Paxton goes full tilt. \u00a0Bark! Snarl!!! Growl!!! \u00a0Jumping at the door and making a scene~the dog should have been embarrassed due to his over the top performance. \u00a0But the FedEx man, was taking no chances! \u00a0He chucked (threw) the package from the driveway, by the garage, exactly onto the doormat. \u00a0I was impressed! \u00a0I was also laughing because Paxton did not mean a word of it.<\/p>\n
Today the poor man had to come back. \u00a0Today I did not want him throwing my package. \u00a0It was my brand new pair of Asics 2000 running shoes. \u00a0The FedEx man pulls into the drive and Paxton begins his show but this time I was ready, too. \u00a0I pop out the door and walk to the truck and the FedEx man gratefully hands me my new shoes and comments to me about how he is “…sure someday that dog is going to come through that door,\u00a0Ma’am”.<\/p>\n
I will have to watch for the FedEx man next week because he may be too afraid to pull into the drive and I do not know how far he can throw!<\/p>\n
