Today’s Run: \u00a03.57 miles<\/p>\n

Remember when you were a kid and had the jokes that went something like…”What is sad?” \u00a0or \u00a0” What is_____ (you filled in the blank)? \u00a0Well, today (and yesterday for that matter) I saw something that was\u00a0truly sad.<\/p>\n

You see, we had a Krispy Kreme store open in our town yesterday. \u00a0It is the only Krispy Kreme store in the Golden Triangle area, therefore, there was a great deal of media hoopla leading up to this opening.<\/p>\n

Now to the really sad part. \u00a0We had to make a trip into town yesterday and today and saw not just cars going to the store, but cars lined up close to a mile down the road waiting for the drive-thru window of the Krispy Kreme! \u00a0And to keep traffic moving, they had two police cruisers directing traffic and keeping one entire lane designated specifically for donut traffic! \u00a0An entire lane of traffic closed for a donut store!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Well, I guess for one day, and it being a Krispy Kreme and all, it is almost understandable but to do it all again today!?! \u00a0Amazing!!! \u00a0Sad.<\/p>\n

On to other things. \u00a0Twice this week when a person in our house has tried to take a bath, the dog has decided that the bath was designated for him. \u00a0When you run a bath for yourself and turn around to grab a towel and turn back around to find the dog has jumped into your nice, warm tub you clue into the fact that the dog needs a bath\/wants a bath. \u00a0So, tonight Paxton finally got his bath! \u00a0Now we have a squeaky clean, strawberry scented puppy!\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
