Today’s Run: \u00a03.13 miles~ 38:13 \u00a0PR!<\/address>\n
Today was the Street Car 5K that I told you about the other day. \u00a0We had around 200 runners for the event. \u00a0It was well organized. \u00a0A very pleasant way to start off a weekend.<\/address>\n
I came in 148th place. \u00a0Not terrific over all, but for me, pretty good! \u00a0My husband and I never lost sight of the main “amoeba” (the main cluster of racers) so that means that I am getting faster (my poor husband can go much faster than I can but stays with me just to be nice). \u00a0I made a 30 second PR over my last 5K so that was good, too!<\/address>\n
The course was all flat for the first 2 1\/2 miles then that last little bit of the race was uphill. \u00a0Not just uphill, but UPHILL! \u00a0To start the uphill first we went down, down and down some more. \u00a0Yikes! \u00a0The coming up was divided into two sections, the first one was not all that bad, then you had a city block of level street and then it seemed you went vertical. \u00a0I almost “ralphed” on that second hill. \u00a0Ugh~that would have been so embarrassing. \u00a0<\/address>\n
We made it up the hill and through the finishing gate, received our finishers medals and went to Cafe’ Aroma for our free coffee. \u00a0Perfect. \u00a0This is my husband, myself and my sister. \u00a0We all ran and successfully completed the race this morning.\"\"<\/a><\/address>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
