Today’s Run: \u00a05 miles<\/p>\n
Last week I received a brand new pair of Asics running shoes in the mail from Road Runner Sports. \u00a0They have great service and seeing as we are VIP members, we pay no sales tax and get an automatic 10% off all orders. \u00a0That is the way to go.<\/p>\n
I have been wearing this particular model of Asics for quite a while now so I called and ordered my shoes knowing I would have them two days later~and I did! \u00a0But they did not feel the same as the other pairs I have worn. \u00a0Funny. \u00a0They were a little tight but I figured that I just needed to wear them a few times and all would be well.<\/p>\n
I have been wearing them a week now and all is NOT well. \u00a0I am losing a toe nail due to the snug fit on my left foot. \u00a0Not cool. \u00a0Plus my feet hurt when I am running. \u00a0Again, not cool.<\/p>\n
So, I called Road Runner Sports this morning after my run. \u00a0They said, “Oh, we sent you the wrong width! \u00a0We made a mistake! \u00a0We will send you out a new pair in the correct width within two hours and you just mail back the pair you have been wearing. \u00a0No additional charge.”\u00a0 \u00a0So, this Saturday I will again have a brand new pair of Asics in which to run and you had better be sure that I will make sure the width is right this time.<\/p>\n
Road Runner Sports is really an excellent company with which to do business. \u00a0I highly recommend them to any fitness enthusiast. \u00a0If you are new to running, go to an established fitness store that can see how your foot strikes when you run. \u00a0They should have video equipment or sensor pads to use to determine your running needs. \u00a0Try on many different shoes until you find the one for you. \u00a0THEN, go the Road Runner Sports because you can save a TON of money on your shoes and running\u00a0apparel. \u00a0This is not a paid advertisement, it is just things I have learned along the way.<\/p>\n
