Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day<\/p>\n

Today was the day we were supposed to be blown off the map. \u00a0Five to seven inches of rain they said. \u00a0And parts of Mississippi did! \u00a0We received a scant .28 inches of rain and a nice soft breeze. \u00a0No theatrics. \u00a0No tornadoes or lost power. \u00a0No floods. \u00a0Just a little bit of soft rain. \u00a0So much for the hurricane\/tropical storm and now tropical depression Isaac. \u00a0He had a difficult time reaching us here in East Central Mississippi. \u00a0Which is fine because we have had our fair share of severe weather over the past year and the break is most welcome.<\/p>\n

I feel the need to vent\/rant whatever you want to call it. \u00a0Exaggeration really bothers me. \u00a0Something has occurred that has really pushed my button and exaggeration is a large part of the issue. So if you ever feel like stretching the truth a bit, call a spade a spade and face up to the fact that it is a lie. \u00a0I have been pretty upset about this and now I feel a little bit better. \u00a0We now return to our regular programmed blog…<\/p>\n

So, when we were at the Iowa State Fair a couple of weeks ago, we saw the largest steer, largest hog, largest pumpkin (907 lbs?) and the largest cabbage! \u00a0They grow things big in Iowa! \u00a0So, I will include a pic of the largest cabbage at the end of this post. \u00a0You will see my husbands hand to the left of the cabbage for size reference. \u00a0It was BIG!<\/p>\n

Tomorrow I go back to the eye Dr. for my one week post surgical check up. \u00a0I am hoping to get clearance to go back to the weight room. \u00a0It has been five weeks since I have been there and I am really missing it. \u00a0Everyone there might have forgotten me!?! \u00a0Maybe not. \u00a0Either way, I will find out how my eyes are doing and that is a comforting thought.<\/p>\n

Well, Paxton (the destroyer\/dog) is asking to go out. \u00a0I will show you that cabbage now.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
