Today’s Run: \u00a06 x 400’s<\/p>\n

I have been dozing here on the sofa for twenty minutes or so, trying to decide whether it was too early for me to go to bed when I realized that I had forgotten to do my blog. \u00a0Oh No! \u00a0So here I am, kinda fuzzy around the edges but I am here.<\/p>\n

After an entire week off from running, my husband and I were finally able to get out today and “hit the ground running” (ha ha). \u00a0We ran 6 x 400’s. \u00a0That is 400 yards at a \u00a05K race pace, six times. \u00a0It may not sound like much but trust me, it is hard. \u00a0And that is why I am so pooped tonight. \u00a0It felt great to be able to run again so even thought I may bellyache about being tired, it was great!<\/p>\n

Spent the afternoon painting. \u00a0Put the finishing touches on two paintings. \u00a0I will post a pic of one here, the other is a Christmas present so no peeking! \u00a0The one is a Wisteria bonsai tree. \u00a0Wisteria is an aggressive plant and this painting is a cultivated\/trained one. \u00a0Caught my fancy I guess. \u00a0The Wisteria painting is kinda a Monet style. \u00a0Lots of dots and I learned that I am no Monet! \u00a0But it was a fun painting to do.<\/p>\n

So, tomorrow it is up and trying to fit in a run before the hurricane rains hit. \u00a0We are supposed to get 5-7″ or so. \u00a0The wind has picked up some so I guess that even in central Mississippi we still get a little bit of the action.<\/p>\n
