This time it didn&#8217;t work. \u00a0I was in bed 6 hours. \u00a0I was super tired but because of the phone ringing over and over and over and other things happening, I didn&#8217;t get a complete hour of un-interrupted sleep. \u00a0I was a sad panda!<\/p>\n<p>The alarm went off and I staggered out of bed and got ready for the run.<\/p>\n<p>To be honest, I was looking forward to this training run! \u00a0There&#8217;s just something kind of crazy about running a marathon as a training run. \u00a0I&#8217;m kind of weird that way, I guess.<\/p>\n<p>The run started off pretty good! \u00a0I was tired, there&#8217;s not doubt about that. \u00a0All the travel and excitement and emotional stuff was catching up with me but I HAD that 26.2 in me. \u00a0At mile 15 or 16, lightening started up.<\/p>\n<p>RATS!<\/p>\n<p>Now, I&#8217;ll run in ANY weather except lightening. \u00a0Well, wait. \u00a0Let me re-phrase that. \u00a0I&#8217;ll TRAIN in any weather except lightening. \u00a0On race day, I&#8217;ll run in whatever mother nature throws at me. \u00a0When the lightening started up, I was not a happy girl. \u00a0I only had 9 miles to wrap up the run!!!<\/p>\n<p>Grrr!!!<\/p>\n<p>I resigned myself that the 26.2 wasn&#8217;t going to happen that morning and turned towards home. \u00a017.05 miles was my sad total for Thursday morning. \u00a0I was majorly bummed. \u00a0AND tired. \u00a0As a bonus, I did meet up with lots of pretty cool running buddies so there was that! \u00a0#SilverLining<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=4919\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4919\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4919\" alt=\"20914484_1420810678039064_3607913885551321477_n\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/20914484_1420810678039064_3607913885551321477_n.jpg\" width=\"493\" height=\"746\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/20914484_1420810678039064_3607913885551321477_n.jpg 493w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/20914484_1420810678039064_3607913885551321477_n-198x300.jpg 198w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I came home and went back to bed. \u00a0I slept like a rock but woke up grouchy. \u00a0I had fallen short of my assigned goal. \u00a0I get grumpy when I do that.<\/p>\n<p>MFH and I had a late lunch\/early dinner.
