Today’s Run: \u00a0Rest Day!<\/p>\n
Being a visitor in a new church is always a daunting experience. \u00a0All these people look at you from the corner of their eye saying, “Do we say hello to the new person or pretend that we did not notice them?”.<\/p>\n
Recently, on our trip to Iowa, we visited our old church where we attended in the early 1990’s. \u00a0You do not think that you have changed all that much. \u00a0You think that you look just like you! \u00a0It is them who have changed and you think to yourself, “Where did all these new people come from” and, “”Wow! \u00a0Who is that tall guy?”, only to find out you had taught him in your first grade Sunday School class. \u00a0So, being a visitor in our old church was a strange experience.<\/p>\n
We met many old friends, caught up on new things in each other lives and for a brief moment tried to forget the years that have passed. \u00a0So, it was almost like old times. \u00a0It was a good time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
