Today’s Run: \u00a05 miles<\/p>\n

The Iowa State Fair is one of the best State Fairs in the nation. \u00a0There are about a zillion things to see and do and there is no way you can do it all in one day.<\/p>\n

On a recent trip to the Fair, I had a Deep Fat Fried Snickers Bar! \u00a0Wow!!! \u00a0They batter dip it, fry it in oil and then sprinkle a bunch of powdered sugar on top. \u00a0Wow!!! \u00a0Sugar rush and major yumminess! \u00a0My husband and I ordered just one and split it. \u00a0It is just not humanly possible to eat an entire one by oneself. \u00a0But what an experience!<\/p>\n

We also went and visited all the livestock shows and watched a lady wash and blow dry a chicken (very strange).<\/p>\n

The butter cow is still there. \u00a0Did you know that they re-use the butter for making the butter cow every year and that the butter they are presently using has been reused for nine years? \u00a0Apparently, it does not smell nice anymore.<\/p>\n

We visited the honey display and talked to some local bee keepers.<\/p>\n

I met a hog who had a lot to say to me. \u00a0Here is our conversation …Fair 8-11-2012 001<\/a><\/p>\n
