Today’s Run: \u00a05.55 miles<\/p>\n

Today’s run was a challenge. \u00a0We ended up running 5.55 miles. \u00a0We could not come up with that perfect of a numerical distance again if we tried. \u00a0It was supposed to be six miles but we were cut off by two dogs. \u00a0Usually, you can get around dogs but these guys meant business. \u00a0So, we elected to cut our run a little short and turn around.<\/p>\n

When we left the house this morning the temperature was 74 (6:30 a.m.). \u00a0When we returned an hour later, it was 80 degrees and 94% humidity. \u00a0Tough stuff in which to be running! \u00a0We had a belt pack with a pouch for GU packets and a slot for a water bottle. \u00a0Both of those were a godsend today! \u00a0We ran out of both before we returned home.<\/p>\n

A really cool thing happened when we were ready to turn back onto our street. \u00a0A city worker in an old pick up truck stopped in the middle of the road and motioned for my husband to come over. \u00a0Come to find out that the guy was asking my husband if we needed any water! \u00a0Was not that the nicest thing? \u00a0We would have taken him up on it were we not so close to home. \u00a0I just thought that was a cool thing to do.<\/p>\n

The run, while hot, was also very pretty. \u00a0Here is a pic of the gravel road on which we ran. \u00a0The trees canopied the road for about three miles keeping us sheltered from the sun for a while. \u00a0It sure was nice while it lasted!\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
