Schaeffer&#8217;s Chapel Route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: 50 lifting at the &#8220;Y&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Many of you know that my husband and I have a favorite running route. \u00a0Schaeffer&#8217;s Chapel. \u00a0This is a quiet little route with a plank bridge that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. \u00a0We pass over the bridge and pass fields of cattle until we reach our turnaround point, Shaeffer&#8217;s Chapel. \u00a0This route is a comfortable five mile round trip.<\/p>\n<p>As of yesterday, this route of ours was closed.<\/p>\n<p>They have been working on a section of road along our house for two years. \u00a0They have decided that our Schaeffer&#8217; Chapel Road was\u00a0obsolete. \u00a0They do not seem to like our plank bridge and deteriorating road. \u00a0This is sad. \u00a0It is\u00a0quaint, cozy, comfortable, canopied by trees, companionable with the cattle, breathtaking in it&#8217;s beauty. \u00a0Rats. \u00a0It is closed.<\/p>\n<p>So, they have built a new entrance road to go to Shaeffer&#8217;s Chapel. \u00a0It is too far down a four lane highway for us to run to the entrance safely. \u00a0No more Schaeffer&#8217;s \u00a0Chapel for us.
