<\/a><\/p>\nKali came to live with us when #1 Daughter decided to move from Colorado to Alaska. \u00a0She asked if we would take in Kali during the move. \u00a0We agreed and Kali came to live in Mississippi with MFH (My Favorite Husband) and myself. \u00a0She’s lived with us a little over 5 years.<\/p>\n
When Kali lived with #1 Daughter, she had a litter of kittens. \u00a0One of these kittens was Castro. \u00a0Castro is a large cat (15 pounds as of last weeks Vet visit). \u00a0When Kali’s kittens were ready to go to a new home, #1 Daughter decided to give Castro to #1 Son. \u00a0He was in college and living by himself. \u00a0He needed the company. \u00a0It was a good arrangement.<\/p>\n
Then, #1 Son decided to move, too! \u00a0He asked if Castro could come to live with us in Mississippi seeing as Kali was already here. \u00a0What could we say? \u00a0So Castro came to live in Mississippi, too.<\/p>\n
When #1 Son moved, he actually moved to Mississippi. \u00a0He was a student at Mississippi State University. \u00a0Through a very long story that we’re just going to skip, Castro lived a short while with him in his apartment close to the University.<\/p>\n
Then, one day Castro went missing!<\/p>\n
We looked everywhere for Castro. \u00a0We made phone calls. \u00a0Put up handbills. \u00a0Walked all over the place calling for him…after about a month, we came to the conclusion that Castro had used up all 9 of his kitty lives. \u00a0We were sad but it happens.<\/p>\n
Three or four months after this, we received a phone call at our home. \u00a0It was about 4:30 in the afternoon. \u00a0I remember this because I was getting dinner ready. \u00a0It was the University!<\/p>\n
“Do you have a white cat named Castro?” said the voice over the phone.<\/p>\n
We explained that we used to but he had gone missing.<\/p>\n
“Well, we have him. \u00a0He has been living in the ceiling tiles above the cafeteria in one of the dorms. \u00a0We finally caught him and you have a half hour to come get him or we’re sending him to the pound.”<\/p>\n
Oh!<\/p>\n
Well, dinner got put on hold that day because MFH hopped in the car and drove to Starkville, Mississippi, to get that cat.<\/p>\n
When he had moved into the apartment with #1 Son, he was a regular sized cat. \u00a0When we picked him up, he was HUGE!!! \u00a0That cat had been eating very well after the college students had gone to bed! \u00a0#oink<\/p>\n
Castro is now living with us. \u00a0No more dorm life for him. \u00a0That was 3 or 4 years ago, I guess. \u00a0He’s a happy cat these days.<\/p>\n
That’s Castro’s story.<\/p>\n
