Yesterday was my birthday. \u00a0I turned 54.<\/p>\n

A lot of people don’t seem to enjoy their birthday’s. \u00a0Me? \u00a0I love them! \u00a0I loved them when I was a kid and now, as an adult, I think I love them even more!<\/p>\n

Birthday’s and Anniversaries are special days and are meant to be celebrated (IMO) and at our house, we do our darnedest to do just that.<\/p>\n

It was a nice warm Mississippi morning yesterday. \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband) ran with me. \u00a0We ran 6.43 miles and had a lovely time! \u00a0Because our weather is starting to think of spring, we didn’t need jackets or anything! \u00a0It was wonderful!!!<\/p>\n

I can think back to growing up in Iowa and freezing my fanny on my birthday. \u00a0This was such a nice change. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

After our run, MFH and I went to a Thai place for lunch. \u00a0I love Thai food! \u00a0After lunch we made a stop at the house to let Paxton outdoors and for MFH to pick up a few things before we headed to Starkville. \u00a0My parents weather station was giving them fits and we were going to head over and see what we could do to get it to cooperate.<\/p>\n

We were there a couple of hours because the weather station was being difficult. \u00a0MFH was persistent and finally got it working. \u00a0That’s when I got a nice surprise! \u00a0My parents took us out for a birthday dinner! \u00a0That was so much fun! \u00a0After dinner, we went next door to Insomia Cookies and I treated for dessert.<\/p>\n

MFH got me a bottle of my favorite perfume for my present. \u00a0I got phone calls and texts from other family. \u00a0It was a perfect day!<\/p>\n

Today, I got up and the birthday was over but I had such a good time I was okay with that. \u00a0Besides, I still have that race to focus on. \u00a0I looked at the thermometer and saw that it was in the 60’s already! \u00a0WOW!!!<\/p>\n

Ate a pancake and got ready for my run. \u00a0I only had 5 miles to run before church this morning. \u00a0*I will say that this taper period has made our Sunday mornings a little less hectic. \u00a0I can ran 5 in under an hour. \u00a0When I have 10 to do before church, I really have to hustle.* \u00a0 I headed out the door and got those miles completed. \u00a0It was warm enough, I could run today in just a sports bra and shorts! \u00a0It was sooooo wonderful to NOT freeze!!! \u00a0*happy dance*<\/p>\n

I’m going to wrap this up with this, I was tagged on FB yesterday with a photo of my race bib for the 50 Miler I’ll be running in two weeks. \u00a0The people organizing the race had personalized my bib for me! \u00a0Take a look and tell me if you don’t think it’s perfect!?!<\/p>\n
