{"id":371,"date":"2012-07-13T21:06:02","date_gmt":"2012-07-13T21:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=371"},"modified":"2012-07-13T21:06:02","modified_gmt":"2012-07-13T21:06:02","slug":"why-did-the-chicken-cross-the-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=371","title":{"rendered":"Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a050 Min lifting at the &#8220;Y&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Answer: \u00a0To prove to the armadillo that it could be done.<\/p>\n<p>If you live in the South, that is the oldest joke known to mankind. \u00a0Road kill is the only way most people ever see an armadillo in the wild but we have had one in our yard this past week. \u00a0They are a strange looking creature and they dig up the yard!<\/p>\n<p>My Son told me earlier this week that he had seen an armadillo in the back of the property while we were at the &#8220;Y&#8221;. \u00a0I thought, &#8220;Oh, that&#8217;s nice&#8221;, and did not give it a second thought. \u00a0Then the dog started being afraid of going outdoors to do a &#8220;good boy&#8221; because he was scared of the armadillo. \u00a0The armadillo was making my life difficult. \u00a0The cats decided it would be fun to chase the creature. \u00a0Unfortunately, they did not catch it.<\/p>\n<p>Today, in between rain storms, I cut the grass. \u00a0What did I find? \u00a0Places where that armadillo had dug up my lawn. \u00a0Not a happy thing. \u00a0So, that brings me back to the beginning quiz question. \u00a0Why DID that chicken cross the road? \u00a0Maybe it was a more devious plot to get that armadillo? \u00a0Probably not but it sure sounds like an interesting idea. \u00a0No?<a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Armadillo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-372\" title=\"Armadillo\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Armadillo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Armadillo.png 640w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Armadillo-300x193.png 300w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Armadillo-466x300.png 466w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a050 Min lifting at the &#8220;Y&#8221; Answer: \u00a0To prove to the armadillo that it could be done.
