Today’s Run: \u00a04.22 miles<\/p>\n
It has been pouring all day today! \u00a0Absolutely NO complaints~we really need the rain. \u00a0So, with today being a running day, we ran in the ran! \u00a0Someone once said that you know you are a runner if you run in the rain~you are going to get wet one way or another.<\/p>\n
We got absolutely soaked. \u00a0My shoes were squelching by the time we got back and I rang out my shirt when I took it off. \u00a0It was glorious! \u00a0No problems with overheating and dehydration~just totally enjoyed the run. \u00a0Perfect!<\/p>\n
We only ran in the rain one other day but it was in the winter and we got chilled a bit. \u00a0It is not that we avoid the rain, it just never seems to be actively raining when it is time to go out. \u00a0There are times when the heat and humidity are oppressive and you wish\/pray for rain but today we got it!<\/p>\n
Aside from the rain the only other thing of note was that a raccoon crossed the road in front of us on our way back to the house.<\/p>\n
We are looking forward to the Saturday morning run with the running group. \u00a0We are doing the “Chinese\u00a0Restaurant Loop” ~ 11.4 miles. \u00a0We have done that one other time.
