Today’s Run: \u00a06 miles<\/p>\n

Today’s run was one of those days where everything “clicks”. \u00a0We ran a new route this morning (new for me anyway) where we cross the “new highway” and take MacIntyre Road all the way to Artesia Road and come back. \u00a0It is pretty! \u00a0Trees canopy the road the majority of the way so it is nice and cool, it is primarily flat and only half of it is gravel. \u00a0Perfect!<\/p>\n

The road grader had just made a pass of MacIntyre Road this morning so the road bed was wonderful. \u00a0This made for great times~so, I decided to try to break my PR (personal record) for the 6 mile distance we would be running today. \u00a0Bells and Whistles! \u00a0We made a new PR for 6 miles! \u00a0Now granted, that last mile we were really hustling it to make the PR, but we did it! \u00a0It felt great!<\/p>\n

There is one place on the route that is a little confusing. \u00a0You round a bend in the road and come upon a set of rail road tracks. \u00a0No big deal. \u00a0But upon closer inspection, you notice the road signs: \u00a0Rail Road Sign, Stop Sign and Yield Sign? \u00a0Huh? \u00a0So, at 6:00 in the morning you are faced with a\u00a0dilemma, do you stop or do you yield? \u00a0Decisions, decisions…Seeing as I do not see very well (a completely different discussion) we stop and then walk over the tracks. \u00a0I will definitely fall if we do not walk over those tracks~so problem solved! \u00a0Stop.<\/p>\n
