I can’t believe it’s finally here! \u00a0It was last November (2014) that I received that email in German and I thought, “Huh?” \u00a0Then I found the translate button and screamed!!! \u00a0Squeeeee!!!<\/p>\n

MFH was concerned. \u00a0“What’s wrong?” he hollered from his office.<\/p>\n

“Um, Sweetie, you’re going to want to renew your Passport.” was my reply.<\/p>\n

Hahaha!!! \u00a0The things that have happened since that day last November to get us to today and the race tomorrow. \u00a0What a whirlwind it’s been!<\/p>\n

And here we are. \u00a0In Berlin, Germany. \u00a0Tomorrow I’m going to run the 3rd largest marathon in the world!<\/p>\n

Pinch me, I’m dreaming!!!<\/p>\n

We’ve had a fabulous time here in Berlin this past week. \u00a0Tons of sightseeing. \u00a0TONS of walking! \u00a0Holy Cow! \u00a0We’ve averaged 10(ish) miles of walking each day.<\/p>\n

Today is my rest day. \u00a0I’m not going anywhere. \u00a0Call me a lazy daisy but I need to park myself before tomorrow and catch up with myself.<\/p>\n

MFH (My Favorite Husband) is off at a laundromat washing the clothes so I can rest. \u00a0He’s such a sweetie! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0So, here I am at the hotel doing some online stuff. \u00a0I’ve laid out my racing kit for the morning. \u00a0Charged my Garmin. \u00a0Aside from sleeping tonight (HA! \u00a0We all know that isn’t going to happen. \u00a0No-body sleeps the night before a race.) I’m ready!<\/p>\n

Yesterday we played tourist. That was so much fun! \u00a0We did the museum thing. \u00a0There are so many great places to visit here. \u00a0Everywhere you turn, there are historical things! \u00a0Being the history nerd that I am, I’ve been in 7th heaven. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0For example:<\/p>\n

We went out for dinner Wednesday evening and were seated next to a couple from Holland. \u00a0They were nice people. \u00a0Me, being me, ended up talking to them (husband and wife). \u00a0They told up about a chocolate place where they make sculptures from Chocolate. \u00a0You KNOW I had to check that out! \u00a0Hahaha!!!<\/p>\n

Pretty Cool Beans stuff! \u00a0I wanted to take just a tiny taste. \u00a0Just a little one! \u00a0MFH said that wasn’t a very good idea. \u00a0He’s probably right. \u00a0*sigh*<\/p>\n

Yesterday evening we went to Oktoberfest! \u00a0Seeing as I love beer, being in Germany during Oktoberfest….life doesn’t get much better than that! \u00a0HA! \u00a0We went early before it got super busy and had a light dinner. \u00a0We both got a “small” beer and something to eat. \u00a0I about choked when I saw the size of the “small!” \u00a0Then I caught sight of the large. \u00a0Holy Cow! \u00a0Those things were HUGE!!!<\/p>\n

My sister had been to France with her husband a few years back and had come home telling me these stories about Nutella Crepes. \u00a0I’ve wanted one ever since. \u00a0They sounded decadent!<\/p>\n

After our “dinner” we were walking around Oktoberfest and found a stand that made those Nutella Crepes! \u00a0This was my chance of a lifetime and I seized it.<\/p>\n

These fall under the category of Majorly Deadly Food (MDF). \u00a0Holy Cow that thing was serious! \u00a0I’ve never eaten anything so delicious in my life! \u00a0I’m here to tell you, I’m going to need every one of those 26.2 miles tomorrow to run off all the stuff I’ve eaten while we’ve been here! \u00a0Hahaha!!!<\/p>\n

I also got to meet one of my MFP friends yesterday! \u00a0How much fun is that!?! \u00a0When you find out one of your online buddies is going to be, not just in the same town but the same country in this case (foreign country, to boot!), you make plans to meet.<\/p>\n

MFH and I met up with this guy for lunch before we headed out on all the stuff we wanted to do yesterday. \u00a0We had such a nice visit! \u00a0This guy will finish at least an hour ahead of me tomorrow but we’ll forgive him for that, right!?! \u00a0Have a great race, Derek!<\/p>\n

We did ride on a double decked bus two times yesterday. \u00a0Once on the bottom and once on the top. \u00a0That was fun but I don’t have a pic. \u00a0Sad Panda.<\/p>\n

I think that is all the stuff we packed into yesterday. \u00a0Not much. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
