Today is going to be a bunch of rambling. \u00a0I haven’t blogged in a few days and so I think I’ll just hop from one thing to the next trying to catch you up on what’s what.<\/p>\n

I am officially in taper mode for the Berlin Marathon AND the Marine Corps Marathon. \u00a0All of this time, I’ve been multi tasking~training for two marathons at the same time. \u00a0The Berlin Marathon is September 27 and the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is Oct. 25. \u00a0Seeing as I’ll be traveling and playing tourist in Germany, that’s going to cut into my training for MCM. \u00a0My coach has me doing just one big taper. \u00a0My longest run between the two marathons will be a 14 miler. \u00a0Everything else will be 4, 6, and 8 miles runs.<\/p>\n

My cute as a button IRun4 buddy, Aiden, started school last week! \u00a0He’s getting to be such a big boy. \u00a0He will turn 4 years old the day before the Berlin Marathon. \u00a0He gets to ride the school bus! \u00a0Pretty exciting stuff! \u00a0His mom sent me a couple of pics of him all ready for school and getting loaded onto the school bus. \u00a0He’s loving school! \u00a0Good for him!<\/p>\n

This season, I’ve been taking pic of the different stages of the cotton growth. \u00a0Nobody in his family has ever seen cotton grow! \u00a0They have enjoyed the pics. \u00a0It was exciting to get to post the pics of the fluffy cotton finally showing! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Saturday I passed the 1600 mile mark for the calendar year. \u00a0As of today I have run 1610.50 miles in 2015. \u00a0That leaves me with a little shy of 405 miles left to reach my goal of running 2015 miles in 2015. \u00a0With tapers for three marathons to go this year, it’s going to be a squeaker as to if I will make it of not!<\/p>\n

Paxton has fallen in love with his “Pink puppy.” \u00a0This has always been a favorite toy but lately he hasn’t let it out of his sight! \u00a0It totally cracks me up seeing him walking around the house carrying it. \u00a0Last night, he was just sitting in the middle of the living room holding it in his mouth. \u00a0What a funny boy he is!<\/p>\n

I am spending time (for lack of a better way of putting it) getting my head ready for the race in Berlin. \u00a0During my training I have been lazy and let my mind wander during my training runs instead of focusing on the race ahead. \u00a0That now has to change. \u00a0I HAVE to focus on that race. \u00a0I have to be able to run the entire 26.2 miles without letting my mind wander. \u00a0This, for me, takes some mental preparation.<\/p>\n

Last night I began doing this. \u00a0I changed my FB profile pic to a race pic from a Half Marathon this past March. \u00a0In this pic, I was focused. \u00a0This is my game face. \u00a0There was a runner ahead of me and I knew I could pass her. \u00a0It was almost the end of the race but I knew if I worked hard, I could cross the finish line ahead of her. \u00a0I wasn’t going to win or anything but I set a goal for myself to come in ahead of her. \u00a0I did. \u00a0I was content with that. \u00a0It wasn’t until I saw this race pic a few weeks later that I thought, “Yikes! \u00a0I sure wouldn’t want to tangle with myself!” \u00a0Hahaha!!!<\/p>\n

So, yes, I’m getting my head in the right spot to do well in Germany. \u00a0I really can’t focus much on MCM until after I race Germany. \u00a0Once I cross the finish line in Germany, though, all my thoughts will be turned to the next task, MCM.<\/p>\n

Never a dull moment, huh?<\/p>\n

Y’all have been so patient will all of the Berlin talk. \u00a0I found out I got into this race last November! \u00a0That was a looooong time ago. \u00a0That means y’all have been listening to this nonsense for the better part of a year! \u00a0Wow~If you’re still sticking around after listening to me blabber about this for all this time, you’re good friends and I thank you so much. \u00a0Your support and encouragement all this time has been incredible! \u00a0Y’all are the best!<\/p>\n

#1 Daughter’s kitty, Kali, has taken to squeezing herself into this tiny little box for her afternoon naps. \u00a0I’m telling you, she would need WD-40 and a shoe horn to get herself into this thing! \u00a0Looks uncomfortable. \u00a0HA! \u00a0And with this pic, I’ll let you go. \u00a0Enjoy your Monday, all! \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
