Today was a rest day and that meant mowing.<\/p>\n

I am officially tapering for the Berlin Marathon. \u00a0Usually I dread the taper phase of training but this time I welcome it wholeheartedly. \u00a0This past winter when I was training for the marathon on Valentine’s Day and then the 50K three weeks later, I wasn’t nearly as worn out as I am right now. \u00a0This time, the taper is my friend.<\/p>\n

Today, however, was a glorious rest day and that meant mowing.<\/p>\n

I had a haircut this morning so I didn’t get started with my mowing until after lunch.<\/p>\n

I was a beautiful Mississippi day! \u00a0Lots of sunshine. \u00a0Nice and toasty!<\/p>\n

Right before I got started with the mowing, one of MFH’s (My Favorite Husband) radio buddies pulled into the drive. \u00a0It was Ray-Ray. \u00a0He had come to pick up a gadget that MFH had borrowed.<\/p>\n

Ray-Ray is a character. \u00a0He always refers to me as the “Little Lady.” \u00a0He hints that “Ladies” should be sitting around doing embroidery or something. \u00a0He’s funny, though, and a talker! \u00a0I didn’t have time to stick around waiting on him to leave so I started the mowing.<\/p>\n

I was having a great time! \u00a0Pass after pass. \u00a0Nice and straight lines in the yard. \u00a0Love it! \u00a0That was until I came to our large tree on the west side of the property.<\/p>\n

I should have known better. \u00a0I mean it IS September and that means spiders. \u00a0I was having such a great time and was lost in my thoughts when I drove right through a huge spider web!<\/p>\n

I drove the mower up to the house as fast as that thing would go.<\/p>\n

I interrupted Ray-Ray and very calmly said to MFH, “I drove through a spider web. Do I have a spider on me?” Cool as a cucumber, I was. Inside I was screaming! “EEeeekkkk!!!!! I drove through a spider web!!!!!!! Aaaaagggghhhh!!!!!” Nope, I held it together. I deserve an Oscar Award.<\/p>\n

MFH declared me spider free and I returned to my mowing. \u00a0I KNEW I could feel a spider crawling on me but it couldn’t be proved. \u00a0I hate it when that happens!<\/p>\n

After two hours of mowing, I was done. \u00a0There were parts of the property I did not mow. \u00a0It is very dry in Mississippi and we have large cracks in our yard. \u00a0I didn’t mow there. \u00a0The grass hasn’t grown in that area. \u00a0I just left it alone.<\/p>\n

After mowing, I came in a showered. \u00a0I was covered in dirt from all the dust. \u00a0Then I made dinner…TMI?<\/p>\n

The reason I told you about dinner is because we had Nutty Bars afterwards! \u00a0We haven’t had a Nutty Bar in at least 4 days! \u00a0That’s a loooong time for us!<\/p>\n

I was clearing the table when MFH got into the refrigerator to get a Nutty Bar for us to split for dessert.<\/p>\n

BAM!<\/p>\n

There was Paxton.<\/p>\n

Surprised?<\/p>\n

Hahaha!!!<\/p>\n
