{"id":3317,"date":"2015-08-20T17:56:36","date_gmt":"2015-08-20T22:56:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=3317"},"modified":"2015-08-20T17:56:36","modified_gmt":"2015-08-20T22:56:36","slug":"here-piggie-piggie-piggie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=3317","title":{"rendered":"Here, Piggie, Piggie, Piggie!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Y&#8217;all know that I rarely have a training run go by without SOMETHING happening. \u00a0I&#8217;m just one of those people who seems to stumble upon the unusual. \u00a0This morning was no different.<\/p>\n<p>I met my running buddy, Bonnie, at the RiverWalk. \u00a0The RiverWalk is located right at the beginning of Downtown of my town, Columbus, Mississippi. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure you remember Bonnie. \u00a0She&#8217;s my running buddy who has the Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). \u00a0She has no cartridge in her feet\/ankles and yet still runs! \u00a0Amazing lady! \u00a0She keeps me motivated, that&#8217;s for sure!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We were running in a residential area about a block south of Main Street in downtown Columbus. \u00a0Our town has a lot of Antebellum houses from the Civil War. \u00a0The town is kinda famous for these houses and people come from all over the place to take tours of these homes. \u00a0If you&#8217;ve never been through an Antebellum home, it is an educational experience. \u00a0Entrances for family\/visitors. \u00a0Back\/unlit\/separate entrances for the slaves. \u00a0Separate shacks in the back where the slaves lived. \u00a0It&#8217;s really something else!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We were running in this area of downtown when all of a sudden we heard, &#8220;Oink! \u00a0Oink! \u00a0Oink!&#8221; and we looked all around.<\/p>\n<p>Sure enough! \u00a0There was the cutest little pig running around the front lawns of these beautiful old homes. \u00a0AND it was loose!<\/p>\n<p>This little pig was having a great time! \u00a0He was rooting around and kicking up his heels. \u00a0#HappyPig<\/p>\n<p>Well, you know me. \u00a0Can&#8217;t let a photo op like that go by. \u00a0I&#8217;m always on the lookout for interesting things to share with my little IRun4 buddy, Aiden. \u00a0I hollered at Bonnie to stop while I took a pic of the pig.<\/p>\n<p>I crept up on the pig, he was white with black polka-dots. I was calling, &#8220;Here, pig!&#8221; \u00a0&#8220;Come here you cute little piggie!&#8221; \u00a0You get the idea. \u00a0I was generally making a complete idiot of myself! \u00a0Hahaha! \u00a0I was rewarded though!<\/p>\n<p>That little pig walked up to me! \u00a0Bold a brass! \u00a0He wasn&#8217;t shy one little bit.<\/p>\n<p>I even got to pet him!<\/p>\n<p>I snapped three pics and we resumed our run. \u00a0The problems didn&#8217;t start until I got home.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton was there to greet me when I came into the house. \u00a0He was sooooo happy I was home! \u00a0He run up to me all wiggly, ready for some puppy hugs and a thorough petting \u00a0UNTIL&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;WHAT in the world have you been petting!?!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You could see the question marks on his face!<\/p>\n<p>He was indignant!<\/p>\n<p>He was NOT impressed when I told him is was just a pig. \u00a0Nope.
