I put out a post yesterday about today&#8217;s run.<\/p>\n<p>See, I had 20 miles to run this morning. \u00a0It was supposed to be another warm and humid Mississippi morning&#8230;that meant another 1:30 am run for me. (79* \u00a089% humidity when we hit the road this morning)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve grown fond of these dark o&#8217;clock runs! \u00a0Seriously! \u00a0It&#8217;s so peaceful. \u00a0Quiet. \u00a0You can see the stars out in the country where I live. \u00a0It has turned into some very lovely runs!<\/p>\n<p>However:<\/p>\n<p>It also gets a little lonely.<\/p>\n<p>20 miles is a looonnng way to run in the dark by yourself. \u00a0This brings us back to my pitiful FB post.<\/p>\n<p>The post read: \u00a0&#8220;20M 1:30 am. Last 5M fast finish. \u00a0Anybody want to tag along?&#8221; \u00a0knowing all good and well what the answer was going to be&#8230;and that was the answer I got, too!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No Way!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have a date with my pillow.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Are you nuts, woman!?!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Except for this one guy. \u00a0Shobal. \u00a0He has come to our house for running group once. \u00a0Last week. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t get to meet him because I was helping at the Triathlon. \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband) ran with him, though, and really liked him and had told me a bit about him.<\/p>\n<p>Shobal replied to my post. \u00a0Sure! \u00a0He would try to be there! \u00a01:30 am? \u00a0No problem. \u00a0He&#8217;d try not to over sleep.<\/p>\n<p>My alarm went off at 12:05 am and I stumbled out of bed, trying not to wake up MFH. \u00a0All in all, I had managed about 3 hrs sleep. \u00a0MFH had gone on a run after I&#8217;d gone to bed and then done our grocery shopping after our run. \u00a0He&#8217;s awesome! \u00a0That also meant that while he was gone, Paxton wanted out. \u00a0Then back in. \u00a0Castro wanted in. \u00a0And then back out&#8230;.you get the idea. \u00a03 hrs sleep. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n<p>I was up and pretty awake. \u00a0Made a slice of toast and a cup of coffee. \u00a0Fiddled around online while I finished off my breakfast and then got dressed to run. \u00a0Right at 1:30, Paxton started barking.<\/p>\n<p>Shobal was here! \u00a0Right on time!<\/p>\n<p>How wonderful!!! \u00a0I wasn&#8217;t going to have to run by myself today!!!<\/p>\n<p>It was like Christmas morning! \u00a0Such a treat!<\/p>\n<p>Mind you, I&#8217;d never met this guy before. \u00a0MFH had and had said glowing things about him and I had chatted with him online. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t have any reservations about running with him. \u00a0I was looking forward to it!<\/p>\n<p>We got started and were chatting. \u00a0He is a super fast guy!!! \u00a0Holy Cow! \u00a017 minute 5K&#8217;s! \u00a01:30 Half Marathons! \u00a0Here he was plodding along beside me at my mind numbing pace.<\/p>\n<p>Bless him! \u00a0What an angel! \u00a0Not one word of complaint from him. \u00a0He just chatted along telling me about his family. \u00a0His job. \u00a0His degrees and how he is planning on working next towards his PhD. \u00a0Impressive stuff!<\/p>\n<p>He hasn&#8217;t run past 13 miles this year and that was at the Half Marathon that I also ran back at the end of March. \u00a0I was a little concerned about this. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t want him to get injured!<\/p>\n<p>While we were running, he admitted that his legs were getting tired. \u00a0The legs weren&#8217;t really happy about how far were were running this morning.<\/p>\n<p>We were running on a new stretch of highway that isn&#8217;t open to traffic yet. \u00a0We would be getting back to the house at 17 miles then I would have to turn around for a short 3 mile loop. \u00a0I encouraged him to call it a day when we got back to the house. \u00a0He took me up on it! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n<p>We stopped at the house and had some Gatorade. \u00a0He hopped in his car and drove home. \u00a0I went out a finished the last 3 miles. \u00a0Those last three were dreadful! \u00a0I got so spoiled having someone with me! \u00a0Hahaha!!!<\/p>\n<p>Got those 20 done, though! \u00a0He made them fun! \u00a0The miles flew by! \u00a0Can&#8217;t thank him enough.<\/p>\n<p>What a lovely way to begin the day!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=3315\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3315\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3315\" alt=\"11887850_834168593369945_2188814043314430999_n\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/11887850_834168593369945_2188814043314430999_n.jpg\" width=\"540\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/11887850_834168593369945_2188814043314430999_n.jpg 540w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/11887850_834168593369945_2188814043314430999_n-168x300.jpg 168w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Seriously! \u00a0This guy rocks!
