Last Wednesday, I fell for the first time in a very. long. time.<\/p>\n

I’ve never been one to fall much. \u00a0Maybe I’m like a cat? \u00a0Always landing on me feet?<\/p>\n

I think I may have used up three of my nine lives in this week!<\/p>\n

Last Wednesday, I took a spill at mile 12 out of my 18 miler. \u00a0Ran the rest of the way home. \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband) was in Colorado so he really couldn’t come to Mississippi to drive me back to the house.<\/p>\n

Sunday, I fell again! \u00a0Last Wednesday’s fall had been in the dark. \u00a0Sunday’s was in the bright, hot sunshine.<\/p>\n

Today, it was dark and I fell again. \u00a0*sigh*<\/p>\n

I’m not a young 20yo person anymore and these falls are getting uglier and uglier. \u00a0They flat out hurt and they are taking their toll.<\/p>\n

This is my theory:<\/p>\n

I was coming down with a head cold last week and shook it off. \u00a0I didn’t realize it for what it was. \u00a0I was sneezing quite a bit. \u00a0Itchy eyes…that kind of thing. \u00a0Come Sunday, I had a scratchy throat as well. \u00a0I thought that was odd.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, my nose started running like crazy! \u00a0Ugh!<\/p>\n

My head is all clogged up and my balance is off. \u00a0I recognize that now. \u00a0Too bad I’m such a slow learner. \u00a0I could have saved myself a lot of grief! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n

So, I’m taking until at LEAST Saturday off from running. \u00a0Going to sit back and take it easy. \u00a0See if I can’t knock this cold into the next county.<\/p>\n

When I got back to the house this morning, my arm was (if you’ll excuse me) dripping blood everywhere. \u00a0I called MFH from the front porch on my cell phone. \u00a0I asked him to bring me a damp cloth before I came in. \u00a0Didn’t want to drip blood on the carpet.<\/p>\n

After we cleaned it up a bit, I took this pic. \u00a0Hope you’re not eating right now or anything! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
