If any of you are wondering about the residuals of yesterday disastrous run, I’m still very, very cold. \u00a0Tomorrow, I am going to take it easy (but still run, of course!).<\/p>\n

This morning I ran 1.08 miles in 11 minutes. \u00a0It was a 10:22 pace. \u00a0It was 79* \u00a080% humidity at the time I ran, so I am content with that time. \u00a0There’s NO WAY I could do that for very long, though! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n

Moving on:<\/p>\n

Today is Thursday and in one of my running groups we do TBT pics. \u00a0I thought I would share with y’all the pic I posted on the page today.<\/p>\n

#1 Daughter and #1 Son are about 20 months apart. \u00a0When I was 6 months pregnant with #1 Son, we made a trip to visit my parents. \u00a0#1 Daughter was (I think) 15 months old at the time.<\/p>\n

We went to an Animal Safari park thing. \u00a0You drove though the park to see the animals and they also offered rides and petting zoo…you know, touristy stuff.<\/p>\n

Seeing as it was around lunch time, we grabbed some hot dogs and hopped into the car for the drive through of the park. \u00a0It was a warmish day so we had the car windows down to get some airflow through the car and so we could see the animals better.<\/p>\n

We reached the Giraffe area. \u00a0Those giraffe’s were not shy! \u00a0They came right up to the car and peered through the windows. \u00a0It was interesting to say the least!<\/p>\n

Well, #1 Daughter had just been nibbling at her hot dog. \u00a0Not seriously eating it. \u00a0To be honest, she just wasn’t interested in it at all. \u00a0All of a sudden, this giraffe sticks its head and very long neck into the car! \u00a0It grabs #1 Daughter’s hot dog and eats it! \u00a0Right in front of her! \u00a0With its head still in the car!!! \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n

Of course, that’s when #1 Daughter decided that she really DID want that hot dog after all and that she was very hungry. \u00a0Figures. \u00a0That was all the food we had in the car. \u00a0#poorparentalplanning<\/p>\n

Do you know that #1 Daughter actually remembers that!?! \u00a0She was such a little thing but I guess having a giraffe eat her lunch made an impression on her.<\/p>\n

Well, to appease a hungry little girl, we promised her she could have an elephant ride when we finished driving through the park. (We also rolled up the windows! \u00a0HA!) \u00a0We got back to the place where they did the elephant rides and waited in line.<\/p>\n

#1 Daughter was being very patient. \u00a0She was excited to ride on an elephant! \u00a0It’s not every day you get to do that! \u00a0Finally, it was her turn. \u00a0She needed an adult to ride with her.<\/p>\n

Grandma and Grandpa both bowed out. \u00a0No way they were going to sit on an elephant! Same with MFH (My Favorite Husband).<\/p>\n

What!?!<\/p>\n

Yup. \u00a0You got it. \u00a0 The only adult left was me. \u00a0All of these very UN-pregnant people refused to sit on an elephant. \u00a0I climbed on the back of that enormous creature. \u00a0They handed #1 Daughter to me and we were off.<\/p>\n

The elephant ride was uneventful. \u00a0They had some sort of fancy padded seat thing so you didn’t feel the ridge of the elephants back. \u00a0It was a gentle rocking back and forth feel to the ride. \u00a0Soothing, really.<\/p>\n

We finished the ride. \u00a0They took pics. \u00a0Somebody hoisted me off the crazy thing and we headed for home.<\/p>\n
