Last week was absolutely crazy! \u00a0#1 Daughter and her #1 Boyfriend arrived after a 26 hr drive from Colorado for a 2 week visit. \u00a0MFH (My Favorite Husband) was in Colorado all week (returned Friday evening) and I received an interesting phone call Wednesday.<\/p>\n
I was running 13 miles last Wednesday. \u00a0It was National Running Day and my little running buddy through the Irun4 group had decided that 13 miles was a terrific distance for us to run on Wednesday. \u00a0It was a very do-able distance and I had headed off early to cover those miles.<\/p>\n
While running along Hwy 45S, I received a phone call. \u00a0It was from our local TV station. \u00a0They had heard about my weight loss and running and wanted to do a feature on me. \u00a0Seeing as I was in mid-run and on the side of a 4 lane highway, we decided they would call me back on Friday to arrange a time on Monday to do an interview.<\/p>\n
I toddled along the Highway and completed my run.<\/p>\n
Friday morning, I set out again on a run. \u00a0I was planning on 10 miles that day. \u00a0I kept the possibility of a phone call in the back of my mind but at the same time kind of forgot about it. \u00a0Does that make sense? \u00a0From running on the shoulder of the Highway on Wednesday, my knees were talking to me a little bit, so I kept it close to home where I could run on a more “user friendly” surface.<\/p>\n
I was about 3\/4 of a mile away from the house when my phone rang. \u00a0Yup! \u00a0It was the TV station.<\/p>\n
“We’re on our way to your house to do the interview. \u00a0We should be there in about 15 minutes.”<\/p>\n
YIKES!!!!!<\/p>\n
#1 Daughter and #1 Boyfriend were still snoozing and my pudgy pooch, Paxton, had not yet done his morning “Good boy.” \u00a0I needed to scoot!<\/p>\n
It took me 5 minutes to get home. \u00a0I flew in the door yelling, “TV cameras will be here in 10 minutes!!!!!” \u00a0Hahaha!!! \u00a0You’ve never seen two people fly so fast in all your life! \u00a0Too funny!!!<\/p>\n
In that 10 minute period, both #1 Daughter and #1 Boyfriend were dressed, Paxton was walked, the white, very unsightly pickup truck was parked at the end of the cul-de-sac (.30 mile from my house), and I had put a shirt on (I had been in sports bra and shorts). \u00a0We had just finished all of that right as the TV people pulled up.<\/p>\n
If it hadn’t been such a frantic time, if really would have been very, very funny! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
The interview went well. \u00a0It aired Friday evening and the video link was posted later Friday. \u00a0If you missed my posting the link and would like to see it, I will share the link for you here. \u00a0Hope you enjoy a little bit of my story.<\/p>\n
