{"id":3132,"date":"2015-05-12T15:06:14","date_gmt":"2015-05-12T20:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=3132"},"modified":"2015-05-12T15:06:14","modified_gmt":"2015-05-12T20:06:14","slug":"rest-day-a-fairy-tale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=3132","title":{"rendered":"Rest Day:  A Fairy Tale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once upon a time there was this thing called: \u00a0Rest Day.<\/p>\n<p>Rest Day was a magical day. \u00a0It was a day where you rested from all your intense exercising and gave your body a chance to recover. \u00a0A chance to catch up with yourself so you would be fresh as a daisy to begin exercising again.<\/p>\n<p>At first, this Rest Day delivered as promised. \u00a0You were able to sit back. \u00a0Watch a movie on Netflix. \u00a0Read a book. \u00a0Truly relax. \u00a0During this time, you were only running 30-35 miles a week so you were able to keep up with your other responsibilities around the house.<\/p>\n<p>Life was grand!<\/p>\n<p>Little by little, your mileage started creeping higher and higher. \u00a0It got so high that last week you ended up running almost 58 miles! \u00a0This made you tired. \u00a0It made you so tired that the only things you were able to do were to cook, do laundry and walk Paxton.<\/p>\n<p>Not much housework got done.<\/p>\n<p>Life was still mighty fine, though!<\/p>\n<p>Finally, that Rest Day popped up in your training schedule again. \u00a0This time it was different. \u00a0This time there was work to be done. \u00a0It was not a day of rest at all. \u00a0It was a day of work. \u00a0It was a day of marathon housecleaning.<\/p>\n<p>If you weren&#8217;t such a perfectionist with your house, maybe it wouldn&#8217;t be such a labor intensive day but you knew that if you didn&#8217;t get the house cleaned &#8220;Just right&#8221; the rest of the week you would go bonkers looking at dust and things you missed on your &#8220;Rest Day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So, you cleaned and cleaned and cleaned.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the house was sparkly! \u00a0It looked great! \u00a0You were content and ready to start running again in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, you will be back to normal. \u00a0Back to feeling the satisfaction of completing a successful run and a job well done.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=3133\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3133\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3133\" alt=\"11214265_785348244918647_8331614066169637339_n\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/11214265_785348244918647_8331614066169637339_n.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/11214265_785348244918647_8331614066169637339_n.jpg 600w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/11214265_785348244918647_8331614066169637339_n-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/11214265_785348244918647_8331614066169637339_n-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once upon a time there was this thing called: \u00a0Rest Day.
