I terrified myself! \u00a0Well, kinda.<\/p>\n

The race pics from the Viking Half Marathon came in last night. \u00a0I took a look not expecting much. \u00a0I take terrible race pics.<\/p>\n

The Viking Half Marathon was on March 28, 2015, in Greenwood, Mississippi. \u00a0It was a pretty chilly day. \u00a0The temps were perfect for running, though! \u00a0You could really give it your all without worrying about getting too hot. \u00a0Nice!<\/p>\n

This race was pretty cool in that part of the course was on the old brick streets of the town. \u00a0I had never run on brick before so I liked the novelty of that.<\/p>\n

When I go through my race pics, I am very, VERY hard on myself. \u00a0I look at my form and invariably groan. \u00a0Ugh. \u00a0Heel striking. \u00a0AGAIN! \u00a0Or, my butt looks huge in those tights (tights are unforgiving)…you know, normal stuff.<\/p>\n

When I looked at the pics from the Viking, I was surprised! \u00a0My form was good! \u00a0I wasn’t heel striking in any pics. \u00a0At all! \u00a0I knew I had been working on my form and all for quite a while but it was nice to see that I was improving.<\/p>\n

I was nice and tall. \u00a0Before, when I would get tired, I had a tendency to slouch. \u00a0I would get so fatigued that I couldn’t hold myself up anymore. \u00a0I was pleased to see that I was upright.<\/p>\n

The thing that was frightening was my face!<\/p>\n

Yikes!!!<\/p>\n

I am hear to tell you, if I saw someone running towards me with that look on their face, I would run and hide.<\/p>\n

Seriously!<\/p>\n

I guess maybe I was a tad competitive that day. \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
