I mentioned a few days ago that our neighbor stopped by. \u00a0He was having an issue with a honey bee swarm by his front door.<\/p>\n

MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I had gone over that same evening and tried to rectify the situation but by the time we left (at nightfall), there were a lot of disgruntled bees in the decorative pillar of that man’s front porch.<\/p>\n

I spent a lot of time the next day making phone calls to the various “experts” in our area. \u00a0They all came up with the same answer: \u00a0Extermination.<\/p>\n

This made me sad.<\/p>\n

It also was the most sensible answer.<\/p>\n

Boo.<\/p>\n

Our neighbor had sprayed two cans of bug bomb down the pillar before we had arrived. \u00a0I went to check on the bees while taking Paxton, my pudgy pooch, for his evening walk.<\/p>\n

There wasn’t a bee to be found. \u00a0No buzzing. \u00a0No nothing. \u00a0So I guess that’s good news and bad news. \u00a0I can’t decide which.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, my bees are doing great! \u00a0I went down to check on them a little while ago and then are buzzing merrily along. \u00a0Here is a link if you want to watch my bees for a few sec: \u00a0\u00a0VID_366540620_095815<\/a><\/p>\n

I am so proud of my pampered and pudgy pooch. \u00a0He walked an entire mile yesterday evening! \u00a0He had some motivation…he finally noticed the cattle in the field near the house and he wanted to go and make friends. \u00a0We were off to visit the cows.<\/p>\n

He was a determined puppy. \u00a0He kept up the pace. \u00a0He wanted to get as close to those cows as he possibly could. \u00a0I took one pic and one very short video clip.<\/p>\n

You can see he is very, very interested in that cow! \u00a0The cow could care less. \u00a0That’s when Paxton noticed the cow a little further down the field. \u00a0We were off again.<\/p>\n

As we got close, this new cow started, not just moo-ing but rather saying, “Keep your distance!” \u00a0He was big and he had horns. \u00a0Respect the horns! \u00a0\u00a0VID_350691111_121540<\/a><\/p>\n

Paxton, well, he’s never been around cows much and he thought this guy looked like a good playmate. \u00a0There were just a few strands of barbed wire between us and this guy. \u00a0I held Paxton back and took a very short video and we were on our way.<\/p>\n

Once we had visited the cows, Paxton lost interest in the walk and realized just how far he had come. \u00a0Nothing to do but re-trace all of his puppy steps to get back home. \u00a0Haha! \u00a0That dog was soooooo tired! \u00a0I felt bad but he weighs 128 lbs. That’s quite a bit more than what I weigh and there was NO WAY I could carry him! \u00a0Nothing for it but for him to drag himself back to the house.<\/p>\n

Once we got home, he got himself a nice long drink of water and then kind of collapsed by the front door. \u00a0He slept all. night. long.<\/p>\n
