{"id":2970,"date":"2015-03-14T18:31:07","date_gmt":"2015-03-14T23:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2970"},"modified":"2015-03-14T18:31:07","modified_gmt":"2015-03-14T23:31:07","slug":"wheres-waldo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2970","title":{"rendered":"Where&#8217;s Waldo?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back in 1987, a UK Author named,\u00a0<a title=\"Martin Handford\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Martin_Handford\">Martin Handford<\/a>, created some children&#8217;s books. \u00a0They were illustrations that were very small and colorful. \u00a0They were of people, animals, places and things. \u00a0In each illustration, you would find one, and only one, Waldo.<\/p>\n<p>Your mission was to find Waldo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=2971\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2971\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2971\" alt=\"Waldo.1987\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Waldo.1987.jpg\" width=\"151\" height=\"265\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Maybe some of you have tried to find Waldo in those books. \u00a0I was not too terribly successful in my efforts to find Waldo, that is, until #1 Daughter got a hold of our Where&#8217;s Waldo book.<\/p>\n<p>#1 Daughter was born in 1988 and #1 Son in 1989, right when the Where&#8217;s Waldo fever was at it&#8217;s peak.<\/p>\n<p>When they were close to Kindergarten age, MFH (My Favorite Husband) purchased the two their very first Where&#8217;s Waldo book. \u00a0They spent hours pouring over the pages trying to find Waldo.<\/p>\n<p>#1 Daughter eventually laid exclusive claim to the book until she found every single Waldo. \u00a0After she had found Waldo, she said we could have our turn.<\/p>\n<p>That kid guarded that book like it was gold. \u00a0Spent hours going over each and every page, peering intently, trying to locate Waldo.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, one day, she announced that she had succeeded. \u00a0She had found all the Waldo&#8217;s and handed the book over to her very impatient brother. \u00a0He had been waiting a looooong time for his turn at that book.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after #1 Son had gained possession of the book, I heard screaming coming from both kids. \u00a0They were arguing and it sounded serious. \u00a0I hurried to where the commotion was taking place.<\/p>\n<p>#1 Son had the Where&#8217;s Waldo book. \u00a0He was waving it around angrily. \u00a0#1 Daughter was standing her ground. \u00a0She didn&#8217;t seem to think there was any problem but #1 Son was most indignant!<\/p>\n<p>Finally, I got to the source of the argument.<\/p>\n<p>#1 Daughter is very thorough. \u00a0Meticulous, if you will. \u00a0In her quest to locate every. single.
