{"id":2923,"date":"2015-02-20T14:33:47","date_gmt":"2015-02-20T20:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2923"},"modified":"2015-02-20T14:33:47","modified_gmt":"2015-02-20T20:33:47","slug":"i-love-birthdays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2923","title":{"rendered":"I Love Birthdays!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved birthdays! \u00a0Really!!! \u00a0They are the next best thing to Christmas and today just happens to be My Birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Not all of my birthdays have been the best day ever, I have to admit. \u00a0When I turned 6, I came down with chicken pox. \u00a0One year, I had my braces put on. \u00a0My 16th birthday, we had my Grandpa&#8217;s funeral. \u00a0Things like that but those years did nothing to diminish my love for birthdays.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the numbers are starting to be bigger. \u00a0Today, I turn 53. \u00a0I get AARP junk mail on a consistent basis however, I have yet to be offered a Sr. Discount when going out dining. \u00a0Every now and then when purchasing alcohol, I still get carded! \u00a0Hey, I&#8217;ll take that! \u00a0HA!!!<\/p>\n<p>Today my birthday has been very nice.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been following the blog this week, you will know that MFH (My Favorite Husband) has been out of town all week. \u00a0He got home this morning! \u00a0That is a super birthday present! \u00a0He came home with laundry needing to be done AND he brought me some birthday presents as well.<\/p>\n<p>He did good! \u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>We went out for lunch and I think the rest of the day will be low key. \u00a0It&#8217;s been a lovely day. \u00a0I&#8217;ve heard from both of my kids. \u00a0My sister took me out for lunch yesterday. \u00a0My In-Laws sent me a card (with cash, thank you!). \u00a0My husband brought me all the nifty cool things from Birmingham and I got a text from my parents.<\/p>\n<p>I have a special beer I&#8217;ve been saving for this evening. \u00a0I show you a pic, but I&#8217;m not sharing. \u00a0Sorry.
