Last Thursday you would have found MFH (My Favorite Husband) and myself taking Paxton (my pudgy pooch) and the two cats, Kali and Castro over to Reggie’s House to play while we are in Colorado. \u00a0I love my pets and miss them while we are gone. \u00a0MFH does not have this problem. \u00a0He enjoys the break from letting the animals in and out. \u00a0Poor guy.<\/p>\n
So, on Monday, I was talking to #1 Son on the phone. \u00a0I had just watched a funny dog video on FB and mentioned to him that I missed Paxton. \u00a0He was indignant! \u00a0(Not really, he was teasing me) \u00a0“Here I am. \u00a0Your own flesh and blood son, 1100 miles away and the best you can say is you miss your DOG!?!<\/p>\n
Oops!<\/p>\n
I tried to talk my out of that but needless to say, it was an Epic Fail.<\/p>\n
This brings us to last night.<\/p>\n
Apparently in our hotel there are a few rooms that allow animals. \u00a0They are on the opposite end of the premises. \u00a0One of the dogs was barking during the night. \u00a0MFH heard it. \u00a0It was pretty faint but it woke him up. \u00a0Not me! \u00a0I slept like a rock last night.<\/p>\n
When MFH woke me up this morning, he told me this story…<\/p>\n
MFH heard the dog barking from the other end of the hotel. \u00a0He was laying there and would hear, “Bow-wow-wow!” \u00a0then I would go “Woof.”<\/p>\n
I was sound asleep.<\/p>\n
The dog down the hall again would go, “Bow-wow-wow!!!”<\/p>\n
I would reply, “Woof.”<\/p>\n
This happened for just a little while. \u00a0The little dog shut up, so I did, too. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n
MFH figured I was playing with Paxton in my sleep. \u00a0The little dog must’ve triggered something. \u00a0See,<\/p>\n
Paxton and I play this game where we talk to each other. \u00a0Silly really. \u00a0He says, “Bow-wow-WOW!!!” and I reply, “WOOF!” \u00a0We do this for quite a while, until one of us gets tired of it. \u00a0It is fun.<\/p>\n
Paxton is a nut!<\/p>\n
MFH thinks I am having Paxton withdrawal.<\/p>\n
