{"id":281,"date":"2012-06-21T20:32:48","date_gmt":"2012-06-21T20:32:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=281"},"modified":"2012-06-21T20:32:48","modified_gmt":"2012-06-21T20:32:48","slug":"hobbies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=281","title":{"rendered":"Hobbies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s Run: \u00a0Rest day because I messed up my foot.<\/p>\n<p>Hobbies are getting to be a lost art form. \u00a0There is Wii, video games, T.V., Wii, video games, T.V&#8230; not much in the way of variety. \u00a0We are becoming a dull and monotonous bunch!<\/p>\n<p>We have not had a T.V. at our house since 1988. \u00a0That is the year our daughter was born and I was teaching piano lessons. \u00a0I would have an eight year old kid over and try to discuss music theory with him\/her when in the background you could hear the Cosby Show. \u00a0That is tough competition for music theory. \u00a0So, my husband and I decided to ditch the T.V. \u00a0A good decision all the way around.<\/p>\n<p>That decision led us to develop a variety of hobbies.\u00a0First and foremost a love of reading has come from that decision. \u00a0My husband is heavily into amateur radio. \u00a0I am into oil painting and we both are bee keepers and runners. \u00a0These things keep us active and happy. \u00a0We support each other in our chosen hobby and enjoy each others company on our combined interests. \u00a0Hobbies may be a lost art form but at our house they are alive and well!<a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/etsy-monochrome-still-life-0012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-284\" title=\"etsy monochrome still life 001\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/etsy-monochrome-still-life-0012.jpg\" alt=\"My latest painting.
