(it is a nice car, btw) \u00a0Paxton noticed a different car in the driveway.<\/p>\n<p>A new car in the drive triggers an immediate barking reflex in Paxton.<\/p>\n<p>Bow-Wow-Wow!!! \u00a0Said Paxton. \u00a0He had to tell me about the new car, too.<\/p>\n<p>#1 Son was busy taking paperwork and all out of the car. \u00a0I opened the front door. \u00a0Paxton seized the opportunity and made a mad dash for the offending car.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately for #1 Son, Paxton recognized him for who he was, so Paxton busied himself sniffing around the offending vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing as the weather is cold and drizzly today in Mississippi, #1 Son and I didn&#8217;t spend mass quantities of time admiring the car. \u00a0We high tailed it into the house as soon as we could.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton decided to dawdle.<\/p>\n<p>I stood at the front door calling&#8230;&#8221;Paxton! \u00a0Come on, boy!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>No Paxton.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Paxton!!! \u00a0Here, Paxton!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nope.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Paxton! \u00a0Come here you dumb dog!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Out of desperation, I hit the doorbell.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton heard the doorbell! \u00a0Duty calls!!!<\/p>\n<p>He headed for the door lickity split!<\/p>\n<p>He ran into the house, barking all the way.<\/p>\n<p>Then he stopped at the front door, turned around and proceeded to bark at whoever had dared ring his doorbell.<\/p>\n<p>#Dumbdog<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paxton takes his job as protector of the house seriously. \u00a0He is ever vigilant. \u00a0Ever faithful. \u00a0Always on guard.
