He had tried to take the back tire off the car (this was all on the drivers side of the car) to move it to the front when his jack had decided to break. That was not good. THAT is why he was just standing there. This guy was in a pickle and he knew it.

He kinda looked at me. Here I was, in running stuff, sweating like a pig asking if he needed help. Like, what could I do!?! He did admit, though, that he needed help.

I pulled my cell phone out of my SpiBelt and called MFH. I explained that there was a gentleman who needed a jack~that he had a flat. I told MFH where we were and that we would wait for him to arrive. After a few minutes, here came MFH and I continued along my merry way.

Seeing as I only had two more miles to run and I had just had a nice little break, I had received a second wind! HA! And here you thought I was doing all of that just to be nice. I took off and zoomed through my last two miles. Because of my break at mile 8, my average pace for the 10 miles was still pretty close to a 10 minute mile.

I did make it back to the house before MFH but just barely. MFH is handy with cars. I knew he could help that guy. That’s what neighbors do, right!?! Glad we could help. 🙂

It is a perfect morning in Mississippi! Absolutely beautiful! The sun is shining, there is a breeze. The temp 57F and 79% humidity. Cannot ask for better weather. With this lovely weather, I set out for my run.
