{"id":2750,"date":"2014-11-23T16:27:05","date_gmt":"2014-11-23T22:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2750"},"modified":"2014-11-23T16:27:05","modified_gmt":"2014-11-23T22:27:05","slug":"paxtonpaying-the-piper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?p=2750","title":{"rendered":"Paxton~Paying The Piper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you recall, this past Friday, MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I grilled T-bone steaks. \u00a0They were delicious! \u00a0Paxton, my pudgy pooch, got the bone. \u00a0Paxton thought he had died and gone to puppy heaven.<a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=2751\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2751\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2751\" alt=\"10377608_681100452010094_194894298186902648_n\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/10377608_681100452010094_194894298186902648_n1.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/10377608_681100452010094_194894298186902648_n1.jpg 640w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/10377608_681100452010094_194894298186902648_n1-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/10377608_681100452010094_194894298186902648_n1-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Paxton worked and worked on that steak bone all Friday evening and a good part of Saturday. \u00a0He was not easily parted from that bone.<\/p>\n<p>I noticed yesterday afternoon, he was not as enthusiastic about his dish of Dog Chow waiting for him in the kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>Now, normally, Paxton will procrastinate eating his dog food until he is so hungry that he cannot stand it any longer and then he will inhale the dish~practically in one huge gulp. \u00a0Not yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton would go to the dish and push it around with his nose. \u00a0He would sniff at it a little bit. \u00a0He didn&#8217;t eat any, though.<\/p>\n<p>I knew the problem. \u00a0It was too much tasty steak bone!<\/p>\n<p>See, for all of his Paxton~ish~ness, Paxton really has a delicate digestion. \u00a0We are pretty careful about what he eats because it will mess him up something fierce. \u00a0That steak bone was the culprit.<\/p>\n<p>Last night, MFH went to a football game. \u00a0I tried to stay up until he got home. \u00a0#fail \u00a0MFH didn&#8217;t get home until after 11:00 PM. \u00a0We usually go to bed between 9:00 and 9:30PM. \u00a0We are such party people. \u00a0HA!<\/p>\n<p>Because both of us were up so late, we didn&#8217;t hear poor Paxton and his distress by the back door.<\/p>\n<p>That. Poor. Dog.<\/p>\n<p>MFH woke up before I did. \u00a0He found it. \u00a0That sweet man cleaned it up for me even though Paxton is my dog.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton was mortified! \u00a0That poor puppy!!! \u00a0I would have given him lots of hugs and pets and all to make him feel better. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t ask MFH if he did that. \u00a0I&#8217;m guessing not. \u00a0That&#8217;s not his &#8220;thing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Paxton is feeling better this evening. \u00a0He had it pretty rough, though. \u00a0It&#8217;ll be a long, long time before he gets another steak bone.<\/p>\n<p>Poor Paxton.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/?attachment_id=2752\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2752\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2752\" alt=\"15787_651329114987228_5079189816349645683_n\" src=\"http:\/\/w0ep.us\/TM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/15787_651329114987228_5079189816349645683_n.jpg\" width=\"275\" height=\"206\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you recall, this past Friday, MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I grilled T-bone steaks. \u00a0They were delicious! \u00a0Paxton, my pudgy pooch, got the bone. \u00a0Paxton thought he had died and gone to puppy heaven.
