#1 Son and I did a WalMart run today. \u00a0We hadn’t gone “shopping” together for quite a while. \u00a0It was like old times.<\/p>\n
On our way home (after depleting the checking account) he started playing some music. \u00a0Eye of the Tiger was his first selection. \u00a0He had the volume way up and the car was thudding along.<\/p>\n
I was reminiscing back to my Half Marathon a year ago. \u00a0(I do not run with music. \u00a0Never, ever have. \u00a0I just go and run.)<\/p>\n
At this particular race, I had a person who ran behind me the entire race. \u00a0They were listening to music. \u00a0They had it LOUD! \u00a0The next two hours, I was privileged to listen to their rendition of motivating music. \u00a0It seemed that this person only liked one song because they had it on a loop. \u00a0The same song, over and over and over. \u00a0Eye of the Tiger…Eye of the Tiger…Eye of the Tiger…Eye of the Tiger…I kept on running as fast as I could to get away from that song!<\/p>\n
The next song #1 Son played was one by Journey. \u00a0Memories! \u00a0Haha! \u00a0I mentioned to #1 Son that I remembered when that song came out. \u00a0This was stuff that was on the charts when I was in High School. \u00a0He gave me, “The Look.”<\/p>\n
You know…The Look that says, “Honestly! \u00a0You expect me to believe that this was good stuff back that long ago!?!”<\/p>\n
Yup. \u00a0They don’t call it “Classic Rock” for grins, you know.<\/p>\n
After Journey, he played one that he knew was tippy top on my list of favorite songs. \u00a0He was telling me that his roommate had never heard this song before. \u00a0My jar dropped open! \u00a0Never heard it! \u00a0He must live under a rock!!!<\/p>\n
Now, before I share this song with you, I want you to know the kind of stuff I really like. \u00a0I am a Pink Floyd junkie. \u00a0Love Pink Floyd! \u00a0I also enjoy \u00a0Rolling Stones, Boston, AC\/DC, you know, mostly metal.<\/p>\n
My most favorite song, though, is a far cry from metal. \u00a0It just totally cracks me up. \u00a0I think that is why I like it so much. \u00a0This is really the only song I like by him, too. \u00a0Here you go. \u00a0This is my favorite song: \u00a0Bob Dylan, “Rainy Day Woman.”<\/p>\n
