This morning, I took my life in my hands and ran on a Treadmill (TM).<\/p>\n
Over the course of my life, I have run on a TM a grand total of two times. \u00a0Both of these attempts have ended in disaster. \u00a0I have managed to go flying off the back end of those contraptions and lay in a mangled heap on the floor. \u00a0It is humiliating and embarrassing.<\/p>\n
TM’s are not my friend.<\/p>\n
Seeing as MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I are in Atlanta, Georgia, for a few days this week, I am electing to run on the hotel’s TM.<\/p>\n
I have been in Atlanta only one other time in my life. 22 years ago on my 30th birthday. \u00a0I tried to go to a local gym during that visit, only to discover that every. single. street. in Atlanta is named Peachtree. \u00a0I was so lost! \u00a0Phooey on that!<\/p>\n
This time, I am staying put in the hotel. \u00a0They have a nice mini gym equipped with three very nice TM’s. \u00a0That’s why I am running on a TM.<\/p>\n
These TM’s have a TV attached to them. \u00a0They also face the street. \u00a0I elected to people watch while running. \u00a0I could do that all day!<\/p>\n
So, I was trucking along on my run, watching the people and traffic go by when right in front of me, a Little Debbie’s Nutty Bar truck drove by. \u00a0I realized at that moment that I have not had a Nutty Bar in over a week! \u00a0Sudden, intense withdrawal symptoms ensued.<\/p>\n
After my run, I came back upstairs to our room, showered and went down to the hotel restaurant for some lunch. \u00a0I had not had any breakfast and was hungry. \u00a0I was hoping they would have something chocolate on the menu. \u00a0I was really, really, really wanting some after seeing that Nutty Bar truck.<\/p>\n
I struck out. \u00a0No chocolate. \u00a0Sad Panda.<\/p>\n
So, here I am in the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia, trying to figure out how to get a Nutty Bar.<\/p>\n
I should have hi-jacked that truck while I had the chance, huh? \u00a0 HA!<\/p>\n
