This morning we welcomed the two cats, Kali and Castro, to the “Hotel California.”<\/p>\n
Our kitties are indoor\/outdoor animals. \u00a0They are great hunters and I am highly suspicious that they supplement their Cat Chow with little creatures they catch in the yard. \u00a0They always come in bright and early in the morning and head straight for their food dish. \u00a0Those two cats can really pack away the food!<\/p>\n
This morning, however, they were going to go on a road trip. \u00a0Today was the day that Kali, Castro and Paxton (my pudgy puppy) were to go and play at Reggie’s House while we made the trip to the Chicago Marathon.<\/p>\n
Paxton LOVES going to Reggie’s House!<\/p>\n
When I brought out the official, “You get to go to Reggie’s House” bag, Paxton was beyond himself with excitement. \u00a0The cats? Not so thrilled. \u00a0They had come in, ate and wanted to immediately go right back outside.<\/p>\n
It was not meant to be.<\/p>\n
When those cats go back out in the morning after their breakfast, you never know when you will see them again! \u00a0Nope. \u00a0They had to stay in the house today until it was time to go over to Reggie’s.<\/p>\n
They were not happy.<\/p>\n
Those two cats made every imaginable kitty noise that I think they ever learned. \u00a0I think it is a good thing that I do not speak cat or else they probably would be in trouble for their kitty language. \u00a0They were unhappy.<\/p>\n
I did remember to pack Kali’s medication…and the tuna it gets mixed in. \u00a0She refuses to take her medication unless it is mixed in tuna. \u00a0Real tuna. \u00a0Not cat food tuna. \u00a0Spoiled cat. \u00a0I remembered kitty treats for both of them. \u00a0That will make Castro happy.<\/p>\n
Paxton? \u00a0#1 Son brought over a brand new stuffed puppy toy for him yesterday. \u00a0If you chew on it just right, it squeaks! \u00a0Paxton practiced and practiced on that squeaker last night. \u00a0He was getting pretty good with it, too, that is, until I took it away for the night. \u00a0He will be happy to have it to play with while we are gone.<\/p>\n
So, the cats will be grumpy kitties until we pick them up on Tuesday morning. \u00a0Paxton? \u00a0He will have the time of his life.<\/p>\n
